LOUIS VUITTON SPEEDY PYTHON BAG

Louis Vuitton

Louis-Vuitton-Speedy-Python-Bag

Louis Vuitton Speedy Python Bag is the mini-me version of the well-loved and most adored LV Speedy bag that was originally handcrafted way back in 1930. Here is a quick lowdown or a walk down memory lane of the iconic Speedy bag: Over more than 70 years old, the Speedy design is proved to be timeless as it is loved by both women from the yesteryears and the modern women of today. Back in the days, the Louis Vuitton Malletier was known as a luxury luggage house. The son of Louis, George Vuitton invented the signature classic “Keepall” bag in the 30s.

A few years later, the Keepall became such a massive success that later on a smaller version resembling it was thereafter created and was later named “The Speedy” which is intended for everyday use. Even the classic beauty Audrey Hepburn owned a smaller sized version of the Speedy. With the ever evolving trends in the fashion industry, the fashion powerhouse invented the Speedy Python Bag which is enhanced by its fancy python intricately embossed Monogram pattern. This bag is multi-functional for it has adjustable and removable shoulder straps.

It also has the following features: double zip with padlock, metallic pieces in shiny golden brass, lamb leather lining, interior flat pocket and interior zip pocket. It has the following dimensions (Speedy 20): 20 x 18 x 13 cm (L x H x W). It retails for €5250 euro.

THE LOUIS VUITTON PALM SPRINGS BACKPACK PM

Louis Vuitton

Satisfying a thriving interest in monogram products while courting higher-end consumers with more expensive and exclusive leather options is a difficult balancing act, and it’s not one that Louis Vuitton has always pulled off perfectly. The brand has made strides in its leather game under the creative direction of Nicolas Ghesquiere, though, and now that monograms feel trendy again, LV has debuted at least one bag that I’m betting will capitalize on the increased interest: the Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Backpack PM.

Taking the ubiquitous LV monogram and making it feel fresh without changing it significantly is a tall order, but it’s something this design accomplishes. Stripping it of the beige vachetta leather trim that most of LV’s monograms sport helps a lot; the black leather feels luxe and sporty simultaneously, which is a combination that’s huge in seasonal fashion right now and makes the monogram feel current by association. The casual, simple backpack shape is also important, and both it and the trim remove the print from its traditional, somewhat stuffy original context. It’s a monogram bag that can appeal to consumers who weren’t old enough to buy designer bags last time monograms were cool.

The bag is part of the brand’s current Cruise 2016 collection, and we’ve already spotted it on the arms of Chiara Ferragni and Kylie Jenner, who are exactly the type young, high-profile women who can introduce Vuitton to a new group of potential customers. For my part, it’s the only Louis Vuitton bag I’ve felt drawn to in recent memory, as well as the only one I’ve thought might make sense with my own personal style. That’s not exactly a tiny shift for someone like me, who doesn’t gravitate toward logos at all.

The bag is also well-positioned in Louis Vuitton’s price structure for it to make maximum impact: at $1,650, it hits a full-on luxury price point without being as astronomically unobtainable as the brand’s leather options. The Palm Springs is a very smart addition to the brand’s lineup, and I’d love to make it an addition to my closet.

Louis Vuitton Presents Fortune Earrings Inspired by Zodiac Signs

Louis Vuitton

Whether one believes in it or not, browsing through the yearly horoscopes and predictions is a fun way to spend free time after New Year’s Eve. The zodiac signs have always provided character traits and motivations throughout the centuries, and astrology also has been perceived and practiced in different ways by many cultures and populations. The modern society is no less interested in astrology, and has frequently found eclectic ways to celebrate the zodiac signs. Of course, fashion often looks up to the horoscope to find some sort of inspirations for coming up with statement-making, unique collections, with Louis Vuitton just being one of the latest brands to launch jaw-dropping designs be inspired by the Zodiac signs.

Louis Vuitton The Fortune Earrings

The French fashion luxury house has, in fact, just presented The Fortune earrings collection, which has been inspired by the zodiac signs and is going to be available for purchase at the end of the year, from November 2016. Minimalistic, sleek and delicate, Louis Vuitton’s Fortune jewelry line looks up to the stars to celebrate everyone’s zodiac sign, pampering us with a collection of 12 gold earrings in miniature.

Mimicking well-known graphic shapes, each one of the earrings could be worn alone, left unpaired to celebrate the single earring trend, which is one of the biggest spring/ summer 2016 jewelry trends, or, for those who are really into astrology, combined with one’s rising sign (the latter option may not be that thrilling for those who, like me, share the same zodiac and rising signs). Of course, Louis Vuitton made sure to have some room for its classic ‘V’ shapes within the pieces too, integrating the letter into each one of the designs in always-different and very creative ways.

Priced at €250 each, Louis Vuitton’s Zodiac jewelry line is predicted (pun intended) to be as successful as the brand’s last spring’s Initiales line, wherein that same golden miniatures were forged to create letters. When it comes to the Zodiac Sign collection, those initials could be worn individually or combined together to spell out a name, a word or even a sentence and a message. Apparently, the French house wants us to be more prone to personalizing our style, without being afraid of showing off our individuality and passions. “Sold singularly, #LouisVuitton’s Fortune zodiac earrings promise only good thing,” @LouisVuitton_UK stated via twitter.

Launched just in time to serve as the upcoming Christmas presents (having to wait until November is the only flaw in the otherwise perfect plan to start getting more fashionable since these very first days of January), Louis Vuitton’s zodiac jewelry line is already a must-have!
